A celebration of 23 years in business this month has us reflecting on the past, present and future for Urban Rituelle. It also happens to be National Family Business Day this week, so it’s a cause for double celebrations! Founded in September 1999, from humble beginnings in an inner Sydney market, the brand is now stocked in 1000 boutique stores throughout Australia, as well as a number of exclusive international retailers. What hasn’t changed is the foundations on which Urban Rituelle was built. We proudly remain a 100% Australian made and family-owned business, creating rituals that make people feel good with beautiful
bath, body, skincare and home fragrance products made from the highest quality
ingredients. We are excited to share what’s ahead for Urban Rituelle and invite our customers to join us on this journey.
Firstly, we have always said that our brand wouldn’t be where it is today without the support of our amazing wholesale retailers. With 1000 stockists nationwide and counting, it continues to be Urban Rituelle’s priority to nurture these existing customers and deliver exceptional marketing and product support from our team. Internationally, our export market continues to expand as Urban Rituelle has a growing presence in specialty retailers across Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and New Zealand. As we have discovered, overseas customers LOVE Australian-made products like ours!
A new partnership has been created this year with Myer. We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible opportunity, as there is much alignment between the Australian department store and our brand. This will allow more customers to experience our gorgeous range of gifting and home fragrance collections, which are currently available in the top 20 Myer stores throughout Australia. Watch this space, as we continue to grow this partnership into the future.
Over a year in the making, it is finally time to launch Urban Rituelle’s new Shampoo and Conditioner into the market. As a part of the Equilibrium Collection, we exhibited this exciting new offering at the NoVacancy Hotel + Accommodation Industry Expo earlier this month. This opportunity will see our brand enter the hospitality and boutique accommodation industry.
The offering will include a luxurious 500ml Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as 5L Bulk Refill options for both products to align with our ethos of sustainability. A Body Lotion and Handwash is also an integral part of the collection. These products will feature in boutique accommodation and hospitality venues throughout Australia. Excited is an understatement!
Our online presence also continues to be a focus for the business, as we continue to grow the brand and reach new customers. The impact of Covid-19 really highlighted the importance of having an e-commerce website for both our customers and wholesalers. In the months ahead, we will be looking to invest in more technology and development to ensure the website is performing at its very best - highly functional and an exceptional user experience every time. We can’t wait to share more on this soon.
